Reus is one of four midfielders to have missed
the cut as Germany's provisional squad was
trimmed to 23 for UEFA EURO 2016.
The Borussia Dortmund playmaker, who also
sat out the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals, received
the bad news on his 27th birthday. Joachim
Löw said the player was struggling to shake off
a groin injury. "On a personal level, these
decisions hurt," the coach explained. "Our
medical department couldn't give us a clear
indication on Marco."
